First of the SongstersAccording to harpy legend, the first harpy to master the entire repertoire of their songs and tales was Mišarallen’s founding Matriarch, Mišara the Singer. Thus she became the first songster, harpies whose duty is to remember the Songs and share their knowledge with the next generation, creating a tradition that has become a pillar of harpy society. While songsters can now be found in flocks across Bulwar and beyond, it is the Mišaran that excel in poetry and verse, and all forms of art, for Mišara taught her daughters their true value.

Songs of StoneThe other flocks preserve their histories in songs alone, but even Mišara knew that this system of records is fallible. What of the deaf and the hard of hearing, are they cursed to never know their pasts? What of the songsters whose songs flee from their minds before they are able to pass them down, are these legends lost to them? And songs, as is their beauty, change over time, even the most historically-minded of them. As such, the Mišaran also sing songs of stone, carved into the very architecture of their roosts, elaborate reliefs depicting their past and present. Through such commemoration, the songs become unforgettable, immortal.

Harpy VersesNo other flock can boast to be as masterful of verse as the Mišaran, as theirs strive to perfect every aspect of lyric, rhyme, stanza, and chorus, ever pushing the boundaries of poetry, song, and music. Their most famous invention is an instrument named for them: the harp, said to chime with the voice of Mišara herself.

Echoes of StoneAs well as recording their history in pristine perfection, the stone of Mišarallen’s roost serves an additional purpose in the form of their great amphitheatre. Carved with precision mathematics and geometry, the space projects their songs and tales outwards for several miles with exceptional quality. While the roosts of other harpies may gleam in spectacular colours, or shock and awe with sheer scale, that of the Mišaran is built to help in their art.
-10% Diplomatic Technology Cost

Peaceful AmityHarpies have a long history in warfare, flocks clashing with one another for dominance, or facing external threats such as the Bulwari. But Mišarallen makes sure not to partake in such feuds, so that the flames of war and strife never blaze through their homes. While their warriors are brave, their roost isolated and well-defended, they also send diplomats to speak words of gold and silver, strung together with exquisite detail to charm and dissuade. The other flocks may fight, but Mišarallen shall live.

Feathered DiplomacyDue to their reputation, the harpies of Mišarallen can be found across Bulwar, from Brasan to Ebbušubtu, especially in taverns and courts as bards and singers, performing to the awe and amazement of all. But they are not merely there to perform; as perfect as they are, they are there to listen closely to what these tavern-goers and courtiers say, especially what they say when they think no one can hear them.
