The Breadbasket of Eastern BulwarBlessed by the Buranun and the many rivers that flow from the mountains to the Naza lake, the land of Setadazar is one of few lands fertile enough to not require the complex irrigation systems common in the rest of the Suran Plain. This has made the land valuable to all the successive powers of the region: first old Akalšes, then the Phoenix Empire, Sareyand, and finally the Jadd Empire. The golden fields of Setadazar supply grain for the kingdoms of Eastern Bulwar and their armies.

The Silver Mines of OreanAmong the foothills of the Serpentspine lies the silver mine of Orean, one of the few suppliers of precious metals that Bulwar has. The reserves at Orean were discovered during the Bulwari Renaissance, when Citrine Dwarves at the service of Ardašir IV, the king of Akalšes, found a vein of silver while looking for copper. With the silver flowing from the mountains, Setadazar, at the time second most important city of Akalšes, became the seat of a royal mint, a role that granted the city an edge in commerce and economy that the city kept until its destruction at the hands of Elizar.

The East Naza SkirmishersWhile the lands of Akalšes and Avamezan were famous for their Anahallapti, fully-armored heavy cavalry, Setadazar was known for supplying light cavalry skirmishers, who exchanged armor for speed. The grasslands of the north-east were formerly the home of the centaurs loyal to Akalšes, and they, masters of the bow, light spear and javelin, started the tradition of light cavalry in the region. This tradition remained when the horsemen transitioned from bow to gun, with the first regiment of Imperial Carabiners recruited from men and women of the East Naza.

The Governorship of SetadazarThe East Naza was never traditionally the center of a kingdom. From the first founding of Akalšes these lands were considered a part of the Akalšesi royal demesne. However, after the defeat of the armies of Akalšes at the hands of Jaher, Setadazar and its surrounding lands were given to the Sun Elves to settle, becoming the Governorship of Setadazar, to which were added the kingdoms of Avamezan and Panušes.\n\nThe Governorship was the only time a distinct polity emerged in the East Naza, and its first and only governor, Thelrion Nestezuir, is fondly remembered in the region, compared to his reputation throughout Bulwar due to his antagonism towards Jexis. He was notable for the efficient administration he pioneered and which endured the sack of the city and the destruction of the Governorship itself

The Falarmur City of BulwarFollowing the sack of Setadazar and the dissolution of the governorship by Elizar in 1137, the East Naza was given to the Governorship of Buranun, while Avamezan and Panušes became part of Sareyand. The ruined city was given to Daraztarion, the son of the Governor Kelmonias, who used the funds provided by the silver mine of Orean to rebuild the city using an architectural style inspired by the Ilatani Art of Busilar, which Jaher was fond of. Falarmur, "The Flowery Walls", is named after the characteristic geometrical patterns, flower carvings, and stylised designs that decorate the building’s walls, even the more humble ones. The city of Setadazar became the only city in Bulwar completely built using the Falarmur style.

The Naza RalkadezimFrom their luxurious manors around the Naza, the Sun Elven landowners known as Ralkadezim hold a great influence in our lands. The elven nobility is stronger and wealthier here than in other regions of Bulwar, having managed to retain large-scale land ownership and political influence despite the land changing hands many times. When the Ashen Phoenix declined, the East Naza returned briefly to Akalšes before becoming a part of the Jadd Empire. In both cases, the Ralkadezim managed to become even more powerful, with Jaddar granting them the permanent deeds to land only lended by their previous ruler. After their conversion to the Jadd, and with their rights to the land secured, the Naza Ralkadezim became some of the more influential and wealthy nobles of the nascent Jadd Empire.

The Thelrion SocietiesThelrion Nestezuir was executed by the Phoenix Empress Jexis for allegedly having tried to kill her by burning her palace in Sareyand, and to make an example of him for the other Phoenix governors. Thelrion was seen as a power hungry monster by contemporary chroniclers. However, his life was reevaluated in later centuries. Fereydun szal-Samšid, one of the first Bulwari members of the Order of Chroniclers, discovered new documents in the archives of the region, and dedicated a book to Thelrion called "The Last Republican", published in 1677.\n\nAccording to Fereydun, Thelrion was the only governor who refused the centralization and despotism of the Jexisian Empire, and he sought a government similar to the traditional Bulwari way of ruling: Autonomous governorships and vassal kingdoms, and a weak central power.\n\nFollowing the publication of the book, the first Thelrion Society was founded in Setadazar by reformists who criticized the absolutism and centralization of the Jadd Empire, and the movement became widespread among the educated classes of the Empire. By the start of the Deioderan in 1723, most cities in Bulwar had a Thelrion Society, and many scholars believe that the book’s ideas were one of the kickstarters of the Bulwari revolt in 1735.
