The Naught WarBaddabi, throughout all of Baashidi history, has never been directly involved in any major wars. Aside from small rebellions that have occurred around their lands and selling some of their troops off as mercenaries, their soldiers haven’t seen total war. Most Baashidi rulers would like to keep it as such, as it is unnecessary to ruin foreign diplomacy over petty disputes that Baddabi has no involvement in. This idea is known to Baddabi as "The Naught War," for no wars should be fought on Baddabi soil lest they directly gain from it.

Free ThinkingBaddabi is known as a kingdom of some of the most erudite scholars in Sarhal. Whether from the schools of Qasri Aqoon, or from a distant desert university, Baddabi scholars have shown to be deserving of some of the highest positions in courts all over Baashidi. Throughout the Jasiir Jadid, Baddabi advisors and philosophers have helped guide kings and queens through tumultuous times. Being the center for these scholars allows for free thought to be spread across the land. Chatter of statecraft and philosophy reigns throughout the streets and schools, and when they reach the royal court they are further divided and improved upon. Ultimately, the wise king is quick to take in these ideas for himself and make them his own, bettering Baddabi in the process. For hundreds of years, this has continued in Baddabi; avoiding decadence and strengthening the crown.

The Grand LibraryThe library made for the smartest minds in the world is also one of the largest in the world. The Grand Library of Qasri Aqoon is central to the city itself, even more than the king's palace. The library is located on the shores of the city, half submerged underwater so the merfolk may access it as well. Thanks to merfolk magic, the bricks and books of the historic landmark of both worlds remain dry so long as the mer-curators continue safeguarding the knowledge inside. This allows for books to be preserved in the depths of the water, only accessible to the creatures under the waves. This has allowed for the preservation of books thousands of years old, from the early dawn of literature amongst the Baashidi to books from across Sarhal and even Haless from foreign traders and voyagers, to even modern books beginning to be studied from Cannor.

Galaalian StrategemFirst came Hisraad, then many more followed; the many sponsored adventurer companies that came forth in the times following the Dasr Sharaf to explore regions previously shrouded in mystery. In these lands, the denizens had adapted to fight in their specific terrain, and constantly fought back against our own Baashidi expeditions, stopping us from venturing deeper. The Suhratbi are not fools though, for, as they fought back, they studied the tactics of their enemies and adapted. These notes went first through the adventurers, voyaging through Ashamadi and Beeraggan lands and eventually spreading back to Qasri Aqoon.\n\nIn Qasri Aqoon, the risk-taking King Galaal decided that these tactics could not just be utilized by explorers but by the whole of Baddabi. Through what is now known as the Galaalian credo, the army was able to adapt the tactics learned afar into the main army. Baddabian forces were thus able to match the forces of most enemies they came across with the knowledge gained from the implementation of Galaalian Strategy."

Far Flung DiplomacyFar away lands are simply another destination for Baddabi’s diplomats. Journeying through land or sea, venturing hundreds of miles. Suhratbi men will arrive in the courts of kings, queens, mayors, and presidents alike, where they will stay for months on end negotiating deals of peace and trade. They eventually return home after they are called back by envoys from Baddabi, knowing that the rulers of the lands they had just departed from will remain friendly with Baddabi for years to come.\n\nThis form of diplomacy has managed to sustain many friendly relationships over hundreds of years. From their close neighbors in Beeragga, to the Ashamadi in the north, and even further beyond into the Vyzemby, Bulwar, and even Raheni and Halessi kingdoms. The amount of relationships built across Halann is more than any other, with amiable diplomacy being maintained for centuries after first contact. It turns out that the real treasure was indeed the friends made along the way.

Fleet o' InsyaaThe discovery of Insyaa was an exciting time for the Baashidi. Expeditions were sent out near immediately to venture into the unexplored continent. The adventurers there were met with a nigh unsustainable, harsh and unprofitable environment for a colony to be established in. Thus, aside from a few successful ventures, the Baashidi suffered failures after failures. This is something the wise men of Baddabi were able to take advantage and make profit of.\n\nA large fleet of merchants and explorers was established to profit from colonies who were successful, and to provide Baddabian expeditions with a fallback in case things went south. By dedicating their forces to profiting from the many ventures in Insyaa, Baddabi was able to establish a presence in the dangerous lands, and profited in the extreme while doing so.

Speaker Of GodsThe idea of Rinta Seekers was first conceived in the land of Baddabi many years ago. First sprung up by the great preacher Kabil Hadni around the year 1063. The radical ideas of gaining knowledge and exploration caught the eyes and minds of many, resulting in the old religion of Habab Zar being pushed into Ardimya; and the ideas of the Rinta Seekers taking their place. By the year 1300, the lands of the Baashidi had adopted the religion, with only remote outskirts still practicing Habab Zar.\n\nIn Baddabi lies the most devout people of the Baashidi. Rinta preachers are common in the streets of Qasri Aqoon, arguing against heretical ideas and hosting gatherings every evening. Even when the Ravelians came preaching their own religion and gathering many Guryadagga in their name, the spread of heresy was blocked by great theologians who fought against the Busilari missionaries.
