Trantan’s EndIn 1154 the Ynn was set upon by disaster after disaster. Three claimants proclaimed war on each other, and while this civil war raged hordes of Epednari and Cursed Ones ravaged the empire. Trantant, who claimed the empire from his base of Svemel, was hit hardest by these incursions and was forced to retreat to the fort of Thalanvel Cestor, and while he was away the Dragon Drozmagog saved the citizens of Vysamsto from the buycev hordes. The remains of his realm would be called Vizkaladr and was ruled by his descendents, the Velrekynn dynasty, and would eventually fall to the armies of Pomvasonn.

Our Many ConversionsUnder Trantan and his heirs, we were followers of Ynn River Worship. When the Drozma Tur expelled the priests, we began worshipping the dragon along with them, and were no longer tied to the ways of the temples who cared not for us. When the Istralorian Crusaders came, preaching the ways of Corin, many of our people converted to their ways, gaining access to their charity, education, and weaponry. We’ve learnt that religions come and go, and that converting to new ones often comes with many benefits!

Our Northern CousinsOur polities’ borders are one of the longest with the Rzenta forests which are inhabited by the Old Rzentur. While many of their tribes continue to raid our holdings, we have established good relations with others. When the Istralorian Crusaders arrived and began their invasion, many of these friendly tribes chose to migrate to our realm, and we openly accepted them, as well as their weapons and bravery.

The many dams of Gozhar UrthidGozhar Urthid is one of the most fertile regions in all of Rzenta, thanks to the many beavers that inhabit the area. Their dams, which can be found on almost every river naturally, aid in the irrigation of the land and provide our inhabitants with a steady supply of fur for clothing. For centuries these populations were carefully managed by the Rzentur, but when the Cannorians came the population of beavers rapidly declined. In 1587, a law was decreed that regulated the hunting of beavers to ensure their populations could continue to thrive, and any Rzentur were freely allowed to kill any Cannorian poachers that broke these laws..

Corinite ConversionsBeginning in 1580’s when the Istralorian crusaders came, many in our lordship converted to their preachings of Corin. Far away from the temple of Svemel the religious fervour was never high here, and when the Istranari Devoted came to our villages offering charity and education, many would quickly convert. Many of our elves took on Cannorians spouses, and they quickly integrated into our communities. Feudalism was denounced, instead churches sprang up that preached the values of Corinitism and with them came books, weapons, tools, and more.\n\nBeginning in the 1600’s, the Istranari took over direct control of our lands, and they prospered more than they ever had before. Many of our people joined in the Istranari crusade, hoping to spread this prosperity to the rest of the Ynn. The Istranari exceeded all expectations in the beginning, making large gains in Rzenta both militarily and with the amount of conversions they had made. The Crusade culminated in the failed siege of Svemel in 1622, after which the tide turned and the Drozma Tur would push back the Istranari out of Rzenta. The Crusade had lasting impacts on the Rzentur, pushing them away from traditional Ynnic Feudalism and setting the precedent for the Dragon Dominion to reform it's governance away from feudalism to the autocratic dual rulership it would come to have.

Dragon-Blooded EstatesIt is no wonder that the Dolindhans coveted Rzenta, for these lands are some of the most bountiful in all of the Ynn. Our nobility has always had a leg up compared to the other Rzentur, for our estates were larger and provided us with more wealth, and as a result, more soldiers and influence. It's here in our lands that vast estates ruled by dragon-blooded nobility sprang up, both serving as a breadbasket for Svemel, as well as being a massive source of state income for the Dragon Dominion.

Istranari SquareWhen large parts of Vizkaladr converted to Corinite, the nobility struck back hard, riding atop of a large breed of Antler Horses wielding powerful dragonblooded magic, they were a might force to deal with. The Istranari preaches provided the converts with weapons and training, teaching them to quickly form squares of pikes and muskets against the heavy cavalry. With only weeks of training, our layfolk were able to best these nobles in battle by quickly forming squares that rendered the charges innate. While the Corinites lost in the end due to the weakening powerbase of the Istranari, the tactics stuck with the Rzentur and became a key part of the Dragon Dominions wars against the Dolindhans. As Halberd and Musket were replaced by Drozmateers with bayonets, these squares became even more deadly.
